Coach Celene

Celene’s journey in Rhythmic Gymnastics began in 2012 where she represented CHIJ St Nicholas Girl’s Primary & Secondary School for 6 years, clinching multiple medals in national competitions. In her final year as a gymnast, Celene attained the Silver medal in the B’Division Group Event at the National Inter-School Championships. Besides her experience in Rhythmic Gymnastics, Celene has been training in Modern Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical Dance since 2015. She has since competed on several international stages such as Get The Beat in Hong Kong where she claimed 3rd and 5th Place in the Contemporary and Self Choreography categories respectively.

 

Prior to coaching at DGA, Celene has previously coached for another Rhythmic Gymnastics academy where she took recreational classes for children under 8 years old. Being one of the newer coaches at DGA, Celene is eager to learn from the other coaches and further improve her coaching skills.

 

Celene believes that every student is talented and that hard work with consistent effort will always pay off. She wishes to train her students to their fullest potential and be a reliable coach. Ultimately, she hopes for her students to become confident, resilient and passionate gymnasts.
