Coach Alicia

Alicia is a Former National Rhythmic Gymnast who entered the National High Performance program at the young age of 8. She has represented Singapore at numerous local and international competitions, including but not limited to the 2019 SEA Games and Asian Championships. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Singapore Schools Sports Council (SSSC) Colours Award (Best Sportsgirl) in 2020.

 

Alicia started her coaching journey in 2017 and officially joined Team DGA in 2020. Despite being one of the latest additions to the team, Alicia is extremely competent as she always strives to be a better coach, looking for ways to hone her skills and grow in this field. She enjoys coaching as she loves being able to pass down whatever knowledge and experience she has to the next generation of gymnasts. Alicia is also a National Judge who continues to give back to the sport she loves.

 

Alicia’s philosophy is that “Hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard”. She believes in every gymnast because they all have the potential to become great gymnasts. She wants to inspire her gymnasts to strive towards excellence in their pursuit of their goals and dreams, and be there to support them in this journey.
